About NursingHomeGuide.sg
What we are
NursingHomeGuide.sg is an independent directory of all MOH-licensed eldercare facilities in Singapore. It lists nursing homes, day care centres, home care providers, hospices, active ageing centres, and medical equipment suppliers.
No facility pays to appear in this directory. No facility pays to rank higher. The directory was built to help families navigate a system that can feel overwhelming, especially when decisions must be made quickly under pressure.
How the directory works
Data sources: MOH and AIC public registers, operator websites, Google Maps. We verify facility names, addresses, phone numbers, and care types against official sources.
We do not infer or fabricate clinical information. If an operator does not publish certain data (e.g. room types, acuity levels), we leave that field blank rather than guessing. Each facility page shows its data pull date. Operators can submit corrections via the contact form.
Editorial independence
We accept display advertising, which is clearly labelled. We do not accept payment to influence: rankings, editorial summaries, the “About this facility” section, or which facilities appear.
This site was founded by a medical doctor. Under the Singapore Medical Council Ethical Code and Ethical Guidelines (ECEG, 2016 edition) — in particular §G5 (doctors associated with healthcare organisations) and §G2 (standards required of advertising information, including the rules that information must not be laudatory, comparative, or disparaging) — medical credentials must not be used to imply endorsement of any specific facility. Accordingly, the doctor-founder credential appears here on the About page only. It is never placed next to operator listings, never used to rank or compare facilities, and never used to attest to the quality of any individual facility’s clinical care.
Limitations
This is an information directory, not a clinical referral service. We cannot recommend a specific facility for a specific patient. Always verify fees, availability, and clinical capability directly with the facility before making care decisions.
AIC’s CareLine (1800-650-6060) provides free, personalised placement guidance from trained care advisors.
