Buy or rent?
Rental is popular for post-surgical or post-hospital recovery expected to last weeks or a few months. For long-term home nursing (e.g. advanced dementia, ALS), purchase is more economical and can be customised with appropriate accessories.

What mattress should I use on an adjustable bed?
Use a pressure-relief mattress — standard spring mattresses do not conform to the profiling sections and can cause pressure injuries. Foam or alternating pressure mattresses are recommended.
Is a cot side (safety rail) included?
Ask specifically — rails are often sold or rented separately. They are important for patients who may roll out of bed.
